Ad accounts in the terminal, next to everything else
Claude Code speaks MCP, so Adsnalytic drops in beside whatever else you have connected. If your analytics, your database and your deploy tooling are already reachable from the same session, your ad spend has no good reason not to be.
This is the setup that pays off least for a marketer and most for whoever owns the whole funnel — because the interesting question is almost never inside the ad platform.
Why the terminal is the good version of this
Ad platform data answers what a campaign cost. It cannot answer what it was worth. That number lives in your own database, and joining the two is normally a manual export on both sides.
With both reachable from one session, the join is a question rather than a project: which campaigns brought users who were still active ninety days later. That is the number that decides budget, and almost nobody has it to hand.
Adding it
Add it as a remote MCP server in Claude Code's MCP settings, then complete the sign-in for each ad platform you want in scope. It is a remote server, so there is no local process to run and nothing to keep updated.
What it is good for here
- Joining spend against your own retention or revenue data
- Scripted, repeatable reporting instead of a monthly manual export
- Checking pacing across every platform in one pass
- Reviewing a proposed change in full before approving it, which reads better in a terminal than in a chat bubble
What it will not do
Most of the tools only read. They have no ability to change anything at all.
The ones that do write never fire on their own. Your assistant shows you the exact change and the numbers behind it, you say yes, and only then does it run. A recommendation is not an authorisation — the approval is on the costed preview, not on the argument that came before it.
- New campaigns arrive paused. Nothing serves, and nothing spends, until you switch it on yourself in the platform's own interface.
- Nothing is ever deleted. The strongest action available is a pause.
- No approval token carries over to a different plan. One unit of difference voids it.
- Your figures are read at the moment you ask and passed straight through. There is no database of your campaigns, your spend or your conversions on our side.
Common questions
Is there anything to install?
No. It is a remote MCP server — you add an address, not a package. Nothing runs on your machine and there is nothing to keep up to date.
Can I use it non-interactively, in CI?
Read tools behave predictably in an unattended session. Writes deliberately do not — they require a human confirmation on a costed preview, and that is not something a pipeline can hold on your behalf.
